Free domestic abuse counselling will continue

Many of you may have heard the sad news that PACE, the LGBT mental health charity, has closed. PACE has provided support services to LGBT people for 31 years delivering counselling, advocacy, training, youth work, research and mental health support services.

Galop has worked closely with PACE for many years, and the closure is a huge loss to us all.

As part of the Domestic Abuse Partnership managed by Galop, PACE provided free counselling LGBT people who have experienced domestic abuse.  We are grateful to confirm that the London Councils funding for this specific service will continue. The counselor, Olivia, will now be based with us at Galop.

Olivia will work Monday- Wednesday at Galop. If you have a case open with Olivia she will contact you next week. The Domestic Abuse workshops will also continue. For further information please contact Galop and ask to speak to Peter Kelley 0207 7046767.
