Galop takes action against transphobic article

Last week the Streatham Guardian published an extremely offensive article about a trans person who was raped. Galop, and very courageously, the person concerned, have responded by making official complaints. You can see Galop’s letter here. Please note our complaint contains references to the offensive reporting, which you may find upsetting. If reading this has made you feel upset, or has made you think about something that’s happened to you, you can call us in confidence on 02077046767.

Update: The paper has now taken the article offline. We hope this means they will be improving the quality of their reporting in the future.
