Help With The Police

Part of Galop’s work involves helping lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender people who are having difficulties with the police.

This may be because you have been arrested or because you have reported an incident to the police and are not happy with the way your issue has been handled by them.

In this section you can find factsheets relating to different aspects of the law as well as police complaints. Factsheets marked with an asterisk (*) are available in printed form. If you would like us to send you copies please contact us.

If you are experiencing difficulties with the Metropolitan police and want to get more advice on your situation you can call us or use our interactive online advice service.
