Trustees Wanted

Can you bring some of your bright ideas to Galop?  We are looking for a number of Trustees to join our small existing Board in a voluntary capacity.

No previous experience of acting as a Trustee is necessary, however we are specifically looking for applicants with experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • Financial management
  • Police issues/hate crime
  • Individual giving/corporate fundraising
  • Human resources

We are also particularly seeking to increase the diversity of our Board and therefore actively welcome submissions by those from ethnically diverse communities or with personal experience of trans or gender identity issues.

Currently our Board meets approximately every 6 weeks usually on a Thursday evening between 18.30 and 20.30, although there may occasionally be a requirement to meet at a weekend.

The main duties of our Trustees broadly cover the areas of financial responsibilities, accountability to beneficiaries and the Charities Commission, conduct of the organization, and strategic decision making.

To apply, please read the Role Description, then complete the Application Form and return it to us by post (2G Leroy House, 436 Essex Road, London N1 3QP) or by email (info@galop.org.uk).
