Patrons - Sarah Waters
Sarah Waters is a best-selling and award-winning author. Her novels include 'Tipping The Velvet', 'Affinity' and 'Fingersmith'. BBC Television has recently adapted 'Tipping The Velvet' and 'Fingersmith' to great acclaim.
In January 2003, Sarah was named as one of Granta's twenty Best of Young British Writers. She received the South Bank Award for Literature in 2003 and was named Author of the Year at the 2003 British Book Awards.
Sarah became Galop's first patron in 2004. She lives in south London where she is currently researching and writing her next book.
