A LGBT+ Survivor Zine: Recognisable

Introducing Neo, a non-binary young person who is facing changes in their relationship.

Neo’s story was formed from the experiences of multiple survivors of domestic abuse from across the UK. All experiences drawn on were from survivors with the same or similar positionality to Neo. Their story touches on some of the difficulties LGBT+ survivors face when others do not recognize their experiences as domestic abuse.

Read ‘Recognisable’ to follow Neo’s journey from self-doubt to safety.

This zine was created by Galop National LGBT+ Domestic Abuse Project and London based artist BLK MOODY BOI. It was made in connection to the #LGBTBeyondRecognition social media campaign during the 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence.

If you enjoyed ‘Recognisable’, we’d appreciate you sharing our new zine on social media with the hashtag #LGBTBeyondRecognition
