Stephen Port: Statement on IPCC Investigation

Galop welcomes the update from the IPCC about the on-going independent investigation into the police response to the deaths of four young men at the hand of Stephen Port. We will continue to be involved in this process and will be considering the IPCC conclusions as they are published.

We also know that not all of Stephen Port’s victims may have contacted the police and we want you to know that you are welcome to contact us for support and advice. Likewise, if you’ve been affected by this case in any way, you are welcome to contact us. Our independent, confidential service understands the context within which Stephen Port operated, so rest assured you will receive a sensitive and informed response.
