Forced Marriage

Forced marriage is when someone is coerced or made to marry someone when they don’t want to. For LGBT+ people, forced marriage is often a form of honour-based abuse. It can be used by families and communities to control someone’s sexuality and/or gender identity.

If you are an LGBT+ person and you are worried that your family will make you marry against your will, contact us for advice and support. We know how to work with you safely and confidentially.
